The Sugar Baby Watermelon is perfectly round and distinctly striped when immature. When ripe, they are dark green with yellow bellies. The inner red flesh is sweet and tender with small brown seeds about the size of an apple seed.

Watermelons need to produce a lot of leaves to make enough sugar to produce sweet fruit. To do this, they need a constant supply of water. The best way to do this is to water them with a drip system or soaker hose, as they don't like having wet leaves (this encourages fungus disease)
